Provide High Quality Professional Training Course for Home Care Aides
There are 83 hours of training required for home health aide certification. This includes time for testing. Training can be broken down into 20 hours of theory and 20 hours of skills training to complete per¬sonal care aide training. Followed by, 35 hours for health-related tasks and 8 hours of hands-on practical training. The practical training of 8 hours is done in a home-like setting, called Supervised Clinical Experience (SCE). The purpose of supervised clinical experience is to:
- integrate the theoretical components of the training program into skills applicable in the work situation;
- determine the competency of the trainee in performing basic procedures in the home setting; and
- determine the ability of the trainee to work on a 1:1 basis with patients and families in the home setting.
Upon completion of the training program and after passing the exam, our school will issue your professional Home Health Aide certificate.
